About Ipoh

Ipoh is the capital city of Perak, a state situated in the central part of Peninsular Malaysia. It is the third largest city in Malaysia.

As of Year 2022, the population in Ipoh is 842,000.

Ipoh center can be divided into two, the Old town and the New town. Old town is on the west of Kinta River, while New town is situated on the east side of the Kinta River.

As the name suggests, the Old Town is where you will find many historical trails and historical landmarks such as the Ipoh railway station, Han Chin Pet Soo Museum, the Concubine Lane, Birch Memorial Clock Tower and many more.

On the contrary,  the New Town is where you will find more newly developed shops, hotels and shopping malls. You may also find many eateries here where you can enjoy the local delicacies, such as Sar Hor Fun, Hor Hee, Nga Choi Kai, Kai Si Hor Fun, Ipoh White Coffee, and many more.

Ipoh is full with famous tourists attractions. As the city is surrounded by limestone hills, it is not surprise that there are many limestone caves that make it a famous tourist spots, such as Sam Poh Tong Temple, Kek Lok Tong, Ling Sen Tong, Nan Tiang Tong, Kwan Yin Tong, Perak Tong, as well as the famous Gua Tempurung. There are also plenty of other places to visit if you are there for a holiday, such as The Kinta Riverfront Walk, Funtasy House Trick Art, Geological Muzeum, the Lost World Tambun and many more.

Ipoh is also a city that hosts some large multinational corporations. Amongst them are Kuala Lumpur Kepong Berhad, Batu Kawan Berhad, Hovid Berhad, Old Town Berhad, Perak Transit Berhad, Tasek Cement Berhad, DKLS Industries Berhad, Wellcall Holding Berhad, Rubberex Berhad, Perak Corp and more.
